Membership Information

The International Society for the Critical Study of Divination e.V. welcomes everyone who is interested in the critical study of fate, freedom and prognostication in all its forms and techniques to become a member of the society.

The membership fee supports the publication of the International Journal of Divination and Prognostication, which will be published twice a year.

Members will receive a free print copy and/or free electronic access to the journal.

Membership fee:

EUR 55.00 per annum – either print or online edition
EUR 75.00 per annum – both print and online edition

Payment options:

SEPA annual direct debit (preferred option)
PayPal payment (only if SEPA direct debit is not available to you)

The direct debit is carried out by the Society. You have to authorize a PayPal payment yourself. If you would like to pay your contribution by Paypal, please enter the following purpose: „ISCSD Mitgliedsbeitrag für Förderung der Wissenschaft, Freistellung FA Erlangen vom 23.08.2019, St.Nr. 216/109/20982“

Membership fees for the International Society for the Critical Study of Divination e.V. are tax-deductible, as the deduction according § 10b (1) EStG (German Income Tax Act) is not excluded. According to the exemption notice from the tax office, Erlangen dated August 23, 2019, the International Society for the Critical Study of Divination e.V. is authorized to issue donation confirmations for donations and membership fees.

For contributions up to 200 euros, the transfer receipt confirmed by the bank or the bank statement is sufficient for the tax return if it clearly shows that it is a membership fee. If you would like to choose this way to claim your donation for tax purposes, simply download the receipt (PDF) attached, print it out and enclose it with the tax return.

For any contributions over 200 euros, you will receive an unsolicited confirmation of donation according to the officially prescribed form.

I want both the print and the digital edition of the Journal.

I hereby join the International Society for the Critical Study of Divination, pursuant to its by-laws. A membership fee amounting to the sum mentioned above will apply and will be used to support the publication of the journal. Each member will receive a copy of each issue of the journal that is published while the membership is active.

I consent that my membership and address data will be digitally stored for purposes related to my membership and shared with Brill Publishers to facilitate the mailing of each member’s copy of the journal International Journal of Divination and Prognostication.
